Ann Curry

Ann Curry is a photojournalist, journalist and author who has been covering war zones for the past 45 years. Her research focuses on human suffering as well as disasters. When she graduated from University of Oregon, Curry obtained a bachelor's degree in journalism in 1978. It was her first time as a female news correspondent at this station when she was just 22. In Portland in Oregon, she was appointed anchor as well as a reporter for KGW the NBC affiliate. After four years, she was appointed reporter for KCBS TV which is located in Los Angeles. Through her tenure of six years with the channel she received the award of two Emmy Awards.
